Caring for your inflatable SUP is easy as 1-2-3.
1. Protect it from the sun
Over the years UV rays can affect both the color and integrity of you boards fabric. When not in use try to keep your stand up paddleboard in the shade. We also recommend the use of 303 protectant spray for all inflatable stand up paddleboards. 303 is basically sunscreen for your stuff. In most cases this only needs to be applied once or twice a year. Spray on and wipe dry, simple as that.
2. Rinse it off after use
It’s always a good idea to rinse your board with fresh water after use, especially if storing for long periods of time. You don’t want sand and dirt to accumulate on the board. Rinsing it with water will prevent sand abrasion on the board and from clogging up the valve. You don’t want your board to produce a funky smell or grow any hairy friends either. Storing it clean and dry will help it last for years to come. This is even more important if you are using it in saltwater. Once the water evaporates salt residue will be everywhere! You don’t want that.
Keep it so fresh, so clean (So fresh and so clean clean)
3. Let the air out
This might seem obvious, because if you don’t let all the air out, you can’t roll it up in the bag! But, that’s not what we are getting at here. If you want to store your board inflated, no problem! Just remember if it is fully inflated to max PSI and you are leaving it out in the sun for a few hours, or in really hot temperatures (because you pumped it up in the morning when it was cooler out!) the pressure could expand past it’s maximum as hot air expands. Let a little air out so it doesn’t bust a seam!
